This WW2 era rifle was made in Australia. .303 caliber. As an 18 year old, I cut the stock shorter to make it more of a sporting rifle. It packs a real wallop on the shoulder.

No.I MK III* with a 5 digit serial number preceded by an E or F indicates this was made at the Lithgow rifle factory in Australia in 1945.

The 5 digit serial number is stamped on the rear of the bold handle as well as on the receiver ring. The rifle may have a "Parkerized" finish which the Australians were producing near the end of the war.
